Initially released in 2022 for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, along with personal computers, in addition to a launch-day exclusive available on Xbox Game Pass, the title had not been announced for the PS5 until now. However, recent findings imply that the cooperative shooter could arrive on PlayStation much sooner than expected.
Gematsu reported today, September 17, that the Taiwan Entertainment Software Rating Information (TESRI) has issued an age rating of 18 and above for the PS5 iteration of Fatshark's Warhammer 40,000 game. The rating notes that the game will include violence, frightening scenes, and references to substance use.
While an official announcement has yet to be made, confirmation from the developers regarding the PS5 version, this new rating strongly hints at an upcoming release. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide faced several challenges at launch, but Fatshark has consistently worked on updates over the last two years.
Enthusiasts of the series can eagerly await a free update titled Unlocked and Loaded, set to be released on September 26. This update will bring numerous enhancements, alongside the introduction of a new class.
Additionally, Focus Entertainment has recently unveiled the latest addition to the beloved role-playing series by Saber Interactive, named Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.
